| On Sunday the 14th of October Matt Farthing had arranged an "Essex Cruise" to the Ace Cafe in London. Any cars were welcome as long as they had an Essex engine. We met in the services at Junction 8 on the M11. On arrival in my Scimitar there was Matt Farthing in his Scimitar SE5a, a V4 Ford Corsair, a Ford Granada and Andrew Collins in his Scimitar GT. | |||||

| We soon set off back onto the M11 and finally fought our way through the busy London traffic, onto the north circular and arrived at the Ace Cafe. We were soon joined by a couple of 3 litre Ford Capri's and an AC ME. | |||||
